Tents Day One

Yesterday I was working Vera Wang at the tents at Lincoln Center. I had my picture taken by Imasu Yoko,  right after I left the show. Speaking of which, backstage photos and such coming up soon!

Catherine Malandrino...Such a long day

Today I worked at Malandrino, which was a fabulous presentation!
I had so much fun, and the clothes were amazing. I'm really getting to know the girls on a first name basis. Anyway, here is a preview for a post coming up soon towards the end of the week with the review!
I'm just too exhausted and am waiting for the pictures I took with a friend's camera...still can't find my charger.

Fashion Week is Killing Me!!

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of posts! I've been working, casting girls for shows this week! It's been insane! After Fashion Week I'll be able to really take a moment to recap and post all of my pictures...which reminds me of something...I can't find my camera charger!!! DISASTER!!

Anyway here is what my room looks like this week...

MBFW and Fashion at Lincoln Center presents: A Life In Fashion

Today I went to a wonderful Conference at Lincoln Center hosted by Fashion at Lincoln Center. It was terrific, with panelists including Lubov Azria (BCBG Max Azria), Patrick Robinson (Gap), Terron Schaefer (Saks Fifth Avenue), and Lori Goldstein (who I worked with last fashion week!!!).

The first signs of life at Lincoln Center for Fashion Week!!! The giant sign was being put up yesterday!

The other day I got an email from editors at H&M with links to their new videos showcasing and explaining their trend reports for Spring/Summer 2011, both Womenswear and Menswear. I have to say I agree totally with everything they say in these videos, and just wanted to post them for you all to see!

Valentino

When you sit down at a Valentino show, you pretty much already know what you're going to see. Actually, you 'think' you know what you're going to see. However, What you get is a lot more. As the first model walks down the runway, you try to imagine how this one look frames the rest of the collection. But as each model walks down the runway, it becomes harder and harder to frame this collection. Each look is more exciting than the other, and somewhere, Rachel Zoe is dying while pre-ordering each dress for Oscar Season.

Elie Saab

Today I saw pictures from Elie Saab's 2011 Couture show. After viewing a few couture shows, I've noticed that a great deal of detail is placed on these gowns...I know it wouldn't be couture without the immense detail...although to me a few shows have gone above and beyond. You just wouldn't see this much detail and care in something like Jean Paul Gaultier (not knocking his work). I know. I mean to say, there is a great delicacy in some of these gowns...you'll see:
