On my wish list for today

Head on over to Bristols6 where you can pick up your own denim customizing kit! Well, you can pre-order for an 8/27 delivery, but it's still pretty exciting! The kit comes with everything you need to customize your perfect pair of jeans, from hem tape to bleach pens to stencils and studs! And the best part...it's only 30.00! I would suggest everyone check this out, because it's a great deal and the things you could do with it are endless!

Uhhh....Stylish...I think not.

Alright. Another thing that is bothering me today. This is Hilary Clinton. Everyone has been saying that she looked so stylish for the rehearsal dinner, but I don't really agree. Sure she looks more laid-back, but this caftan is NOT flattering on her. It does nothing for her figure in the sense that it makes her look bigger. Well at least it was a step in a new direction. Can't wait to see what she wears to the wedding! Hopefully a dress by Oscar. As usual.

what the hell.

Okay, so I was going through some editorials via Fashion Gone Rogue, and I came across this editorial that's pretty much "Nun gone bad". For some reason it really upsets me, because it's so offensive to so many people around the globe, besides the fact that it's so gross. It doesn't matter if you're religious or not, it's still bad taste. Religion and sex should never mix.
However, I do like the second picture only because I love the top. Minus the white collar. Cut-out fashion is becoming big right now.

Fall Trend Report #1: Welcome to the 50s

When you think of fashion week, there's one thing that's not on your mind...boobs. Nowadays models are super-skinny, most walk down the runway leaning backwards, and you just don't see boobs. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but majority of women on this earth have boobs. I don't see why the fashion industry pretends that their customers don't.

Anyway, I loved fall fashion week because it marked the return of...Boobs! The models were bustier, spunkier, and all-around healthier! Louis Vuitton's show was most significant, as Marc Jacobs cast women from all different age groups, and majority of the dresses were made to be worn on bustier women.

This transition pretty much started a trend, where we returned to the 50s. We saw hourglass silhouettes, curve-hugging skirts, and vintage prints. Here are some of my favorite looks from this trend: (and sorry for the terrible photoshop job...still learning!)

sweet dreams for a sweet summer

I really liked this editorial for TEST magazine. It's such a departure from the normal editorials that I see all the time, which are so modern. I also like the styling of the shoot because it's so retro, and almost timeless. Check it out:
Love this shot the most. The way the dress flows is really nice paired with the blazer.
I really like the print on her blouse. It's so soft. Reminds me of Prada.
You can't go wrong with sailor stripes.
Her headband is so awesome.
The pleats in this dress are so sweet.
Ya'll know I'm obsessed with jumpsuits. So need I say more?

Material Girl.

Eh. Well, as everyone knows, Madonna and her daughter (Lola, as she goes by now) are releasing their line for Macys, starting August 3rd. I'm not going to lie, some of the pieces look really awesome. Not to mention the prices are all under 40.00. However, you know something's wrong when not so little anymore J (Taylor Momsen) is the face of your brand. Commence the underage smoking and not giving a fuck about Haiti or being a role model.

Anyway. Check out a sneak preview of the collection. Thanks Nitrolicious for the pics!

Topshop F/W 2010 Campaign

Really loving the clothes and the styling! Can't wait to check them out soon!

Venturing into Brooklyn tomorrow.

Hey guys. SO. Tomorrow I was invited to check out Geoffrey Good's new AFFORDABLE jewelry collection, which is also the celebration for the opening of his new studio. I'm kind of excited because it's like in some really cool factory building, and you need a password and everything (insider-only event). I was wondering if any of you wanted to come with me! It should be fun!

If so, call 718.499.209 (the showroom) and RSVP. Hopefully it's not too late, and we can go together. It's on 3rd Street and 3rd avenue, in Brooklyn. From 5-9. I was thinking of getting there around 8. If you're going, hit me up! (email me)!

Dr. Martens x Opening Ceremony

Mark tomorrow in your calendars guys! Opening Ceremony and Dr. Martens are doing a collaboration, which goes on sale tomorrow!! The new styles are super chic and I can't wait to see them in person!

Transformation into Flowers.

The makeup and hair for Dior's Couture Fall 2010 was amazing, primarily because I could really see the models as flowers in the show. The geometric shapes of the eyes only enhance their faces and make them look more angular. As for the hair, how do they do that??? I know they're extensions, but really. How heavy are they? Do they bring you off balance? Wouldn't it be hilarious if one of the model's hair just fell off onto the runway as she was strutting her stuff?

unnecessarily warm.

here's something I hate. How cold could it possibly be that you need to wear these Burberry coats? I don't think they're all that fashionable. If you wear them, eyes will turn on you. But it needs to be sufficiently cold or they'll just think you're trying to attract attention or you're crazy.

domesticating sweden.

I love the whole 50's feel of this editorial for Elle Sweden. I'm kind of obsessed right now with many things...one of them being 50's domestic housewife dress. It's funny because they're all so elegant. This model also has beautiful eyes.

Acne Supermodel Chic

I'm really loving Acne's Resort 2011. I love the balance between light and dark and the overall party feel. The cut and fit of the clothes are also really awesome and would look great on anyone. I feel like if you wear anything from the collection, all eyes will instantly be turned on you. It has some weird supermodel effect.

Love this Acne shirt.
